The first vc paper I ever used was
made by Dupont called Varagam
If I rember about 1952
it was the only vc in the states at the
time
Dupont made # of great papers
There was a great one used by a fashion photographer NYC I worked
for 1954 I can not rember the name
of that paper

I did, too, and will do so again once my darkroom is back on line. After all, Ilford INVENTED VC paper in 1939. Or perfected it. Somewhere, I have a copy of that 1939 paper published by one of the Ilford chemists.

But I lay awake crying at night for that magnificent single-grade ORWO semi-matte paper. We shall never see its like again, I fear.
