In my sixty years of photography, I have observed two things about 'Ever/Never Ready' cases:

1. By the time you get the case un-buttoned/un-latched so that the camera can be used, whatever you are photographing is either gone, or the light is no longer good.

2. And once you do get the case opened so that you can take a photograph, you are frustrated because the bloody thing is so in the way, all you want to do is rip the thing off of the camera and burn it!

Never ready cases are for tourists that MIGHT take a happy snap photograph, or two, of aunt Milli, or uncle Fred, but will probably just wander around with the camera in-case, hung over the shoulder, oblivious to any real photographic possibilities.

MHO,

Jim

Mr. Fokkema:

A "Never Ready Case", Sir? I had one of those many many years ago, and, foolishly sold it off. They are very rare nowadays, as you will notice when a group of photographers heave out their cameras and snap away. The gent with the "never reaady" cased camera, pauses, thinks, observes, and by that time having got the camera out of the "never-ready case", takes a picture and walks off with a masterpiece.

So, don't sell the case, it will make you a better photographer.

John
