Aaron, I seem to recall that I reloaded the rolled negatives onto a Nikkor stainless steel reel and soaking in a 75 degree F. bath of distilled water with a few drops of Photo-Flo for a few hours. I then hang dried the negatives with a clip on weight, which took care of the problem. I'm certain that Richard will have a more current method of doing the job.
