Thanks Siu and Richard,

It seems straight forward enough. I didn't know about adjusting the taking lens for infinity and that is good to know. I do have the cut sheet back and some cut sheet holders but alas, no ground glass insert. Cambridge Photo has a ground glass insert on eBay (7623640219) for $149.99. That seems steep for just this single use although I supposed sending out the camera would cost about as much. I do have a ground glass from another Automat I could borrow for the procedure. At least the cut sheet back would give me a tripod mount. So now I have to decide if I should purchase this ground glass insert - it would fill out the cut sheet kit.

Is there a simple procedure (besides

I did this in the past with on some Rollei with the glass-plate adapter and ground glass. I guess you can do this with a regular ground glass as well. Just put a ground glass on rear of the camera where film should be and focus in something far away by opening the shutter and aperture. Focus knob should be on infity, if not then you have to re-adjust. Now just adjust the viewing lens till the image is perfectly focused on the focusing screen and you have both lenses synchronised.

Hope this helps,

Siu Fai
