this is the current manifestation of Club Rollei now in Australia presented by
Jaap Roskam.
The Los Angeles manifestation follows below. This is an email from Mark Meijer
who was a real aficionado of Rollei. My last correspondence with him sometime
late 2003. The last I heard; from Hadley Chamberlain; was that Mark was very
sick and past away.

Spring 2003, and we are so proud to have a lot of very good & exciting news
about Rollei and the Club.
1. Global RolleiClub web site finally finished
After 4 years of construction, we are happy to announce that our RolleiClub web
site is now complete and up to date. The club site now covers every single
camera ever made by Rollei since 1920, and even more, we have mapped most
accessories and lenses and all related Rollei products such as projectors,
movie cameras, tripods, binoculars… Have a look at the completed web site at

unique web site which offers the most complete information about everything
Rollei with color pictures anywhere.
2. The new RolleiClub 2 CD-set “Rollei Innovations”
RolleiClub has received folders with only recently recovered original files and
product photos from Rollei factory archives! We have compiled a 2 CD set which
contains scans of these unique files and pictures from Rollei archives. The
archive files contain data about the most prominent Rollei Innovations from
1920 to 1989, and there is a preface signed by then Rollei CEO Wolfgang Sass,
authenticating the information provided in the files. RolleiClub has added and
completed this information for the years from 1990 till today.
The data sheets reveal some new information about serial numbers & production
dates of Rollei products, amongst others. The archive files are supplied as
high resolution scans and also as online book (PDF Acrobat Reader, 190 pages).
The CDs also include 600 DPI scans of original factory product pictures
contained in the archive files and a complete chronological overview of mayor
events in the Rollei history 1920 to 2003.
The CD set also contains an edited offline version of the complete RolleiClub
and SL66 web sites for easy and quick reference (plus some manuals for
cameras). The CD set represents the most complete overview about Rollei
products & history with color pictures ever published.
The CD set will not be outdated: a download service provides updated files to
be integrated into your library. The 2 CD-set is available exclusively through

3. Rollei under new ownership
In December of 2002, Rollei was acquired by a Scandinavian investment group.
Rollei will now have better access to digital technology and funding to expand
into the digital consumer market.
4. New Rollei digital cameras for consumers
Rollei just released 4 new digital cameras. They are beautiful, sleek & small.
The camera’s features are up to date and include movie & sound recording and
optical zoom lenses (Rollei quality). They come from 2 MP to 3.4 MP at this
time and will be very competitive priced. Please see

Hello all:
Does anyone have experience with Club Rollei? I refer to one that has a PO Box
in Los Angeles. I'm looking to recover a pair of SL66's and they offer a
diamond surface upgrade.
