Pls forgive the delay in this reply; I'm back in the office after attending the
AGO national convention in Philadelphia last week. I hope I can offer some
help here (sorry this is a long email!):
Factory piston settings:
All Rodgers Trillium organs have factory piston settings on M1, M2 and M3,
and the Insignia 557 and 577 organs have factory settings on M1 and M2. To
restore the factory settings on all of the above models, press and hold M1 (or
M2 or M3) until the window displays "Locked/Unlocked". Continue to hold the
M_ piston and press and hold SET until the display shows "Factory Settings
Restored". Release both buttons.
Do y'all know how to upload/download Memory Level settings to the PR300?
It's easy, and it's a great way to backup your piston settings, in addition to
the use of the memory card.
Regarding the Smart Media Card (T787, T797, T927, T957, T967):
First of all, I want to remind you that when you insert the card, always look
at
the green window to make sure the organ acknowledged that you inserted the
card. If it didn't, remove the card and reinsert it.
With the card inserted, if you are using a folder and Memory level that has no
settings to the card, the organ is reading the internal memory piston settings.
(The card actually is "blank" for that particular Memory Level). To check that
out, you could do this: with the card inserted and your desired folder and Mem
level selected, press and hold the M_ button and look at the display window:
it will indicate whether you are using the card's memory or the organ's
memory. With the card inserted, when you make the first piston save to the
card's previously blank Mem Level, your piston setting is saved to the card
PLUS the rest of the internal organ's Memory Level setting ... so it saved ALL
the internal memory's general and divisional pistons to your card of that Mem
Level as well as your new piston setting. (That's why the first new piston save
takes a little longer to write the data to the card. Always wait for the red
light
to go off and the display window's message to acknowledge the piston was
saved.)
Where to purchase Smart Media Cards:
Smart Media Cards can be easily purchased from local office supply stores,
camera stores, computer stores, or even department stores like Target. Or
they can be purchased online at such sites as www.amazon.com. Smart
Media Cards are available in memory sizes from 4MB and up. Currently, the
lowest size most retailers carry is 8MB at a very reasonable price. The
recommended size for the Rodgers organs is 4 or 8 MB. You do not have to
initialize or configure a smart media card for use in the Trillium organs; just
insert it [gold side down] and you're ready to go! For optimum performance,
Rodgers recommends to dedicate a Smart Media Card's use solely for the
organ. (If there are photos on the card too plus available memory space, it
will still work with the organ but at a slower pace).
FYI - Internal Demo Songs!
Some of you may not be aware that the T787, T797, T927, T957, T967, i557
and i577 organs have internal demo songs. These demo songs are useful for
the voicing tech to walk around the room as the organ plays, or for a non-
musician to demo the organ, or for the organist to hear some examples of
what their instrument can do.
To access the Demo Songs in the Trillium models, do this:
Press & hold CANCEL then press QUICK MENU. Release both.
Turn the Select knob (the little guy) one click to the right.
Use the Alpha Dial (the big wheel) to select the song.
Press SET twice to begin playback. Press SET to pause or CANCEL to stop.
Press CANCEL twice to exit the Demo mode.
During playback, if desired, you could change the volume level of the organ by
turning the select knob one click to the right and adjusting the level with the
Alpha wheel. This only changes the organ's playback volume; it does not
affect the organ's regular volume settings.
To access the Demo Songs in the Insignia 557 and 577, do this:
Press and hold SET then turn the Select knob one click to the left (counter-
clockwise). Release the SET button and continue turning the Select knob to
the left until DEMO SONG 1 appears in the display window.
Use the Alpha Dial (the big wheel) to select the song.
Press SET twice to begin playback. Press SET to pause or CANCEL to stop.
Press CANCEL twice to exit the Demo mode.
To correctly hear the Demo Songs, the VP LOCK must be unlocked, and all
shutter settings should be pppp.
