Maybe I missed it, but apparently this reply concerning the Model 810 never got
posted. Here are the comments again:

Model 810 is a "Micasko" series organ. "Micasko" is an acronym for
"Microprocessor-controlled and serial-keyed organ." These instruments have
some different characteristics than later CPU-controlled Rodgers organs. Some
Micasko's have been updated with a "B" CPU kit, and the info that follows will
not apply to them.

In Micasko "A" organs, the power switch always blinks when you first push it.
This does not indicate that the organ is in test mode. Instead, the organ is
waiting for your turn-on code. These organs recognize four codes, each of
which is user-programmable (see Micasko owner's manual or technical manual).

The sequence 1-2-1-3-1-4-1-5 is a default code that technicians use to power up
an organ when the custom codes are not available. Briefly, the four codes
operate as follows:

1) The first code will turn the organ on, but will not unlock the "set"
function of the memories. This is the code frequently given to guest
organists. They can use your combinations, but not alter them.

2) The second code turns the organ on and unlocks only M1. An organist using
this code can use the combinations stored in both memories, and set new
combinations on M1.

3) The third code turns the organ on and unlocks only M2. Both memories can be
used, but only M2 can be altered.

4) The fourth code is the "master" code, giving full access. Both M1 and M2
are unlocked and some additional user-programmable functions can also be
accessed, such as the Orchestral Crescendo sequence and the range of Continuo
and Solo couplers if so equipped. This is the code most organists use.

Hope this clears it up. If the previous codes are unknown, the owner's manual
and technical manual both tell how to set new ones. If the organ will retain
neither its codes nor its piston memory, the first thing your technician will
probably do is replace the backup battery.

B.E.
