[rodgersorganusers] a technical question about an 810 Alexandria

Hi all,
The 810 Alexandria (2 manual, analog as far as tone production, but I gather
with some transitional digital elements -- early 1980s) that I got on eBay
has been coaxed back into life by an able technician.
But so far he's stymied by the combination action. Following the procedures
outlined in a service manual, he hasn't been able to get access to either
memory to set pistons. (And on startup, the organ launches into test mode,
and has to be switched into play by the 1-2-1-3-1-4-1-5 piston routine.)
Any helpful suggestions from old wizards?
