I use telemetrum for my avionics in my Dx3 and Eagle Claw. I like the
features it offers (e.g., showing a nifty downloadable map of the flight
and the real-time readout of flight performance).
However, the nickname 'telemaybe' is deserved. The manual, which is 72
pages long is extremely esoteric, and I had to spend hours troubleshooting
just to get the damn things to link to my laptop. I may not be digitally
inclined, but plenty of people smarter than me had issues as well.
Still, having the election control and tracking in a nifty bundle is cool.
I'd stay away from the telemega though; it has a tendency to fire it's
ejection prematurely.
I'll stop rambling. Pm me if you have any more on depth questions Mike. I
feel like I have a decent grasp of all the altus metrum system now.

I've used the TeleMetrum on a couple of flights. I think they're doing a
great job of pushing the envelope of what avionics offer. My only real
complaint is that there are a lot of moving parts in getting the downlink
to work so that part can be a hard to get working.
