Hello Club,
This question is for those of you that have flown to 25k or higher. I have some
friends that are planning a high alt flight to the 25k mark with a rather large
vehicle (85 pounds dry) and was wondering if there are any other concerns to
watch for when going that high? Personally I've only been to about a mile, so I
don't know what strange things happen beyond that - like I know BP starts to
burn weird (or not at all) up around 100k, but I think 25k is okay - what else?
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Hello ROC Members and Friends:
This notice is to remind you all that in less than two months, June 10-12,
2011, ROC will be hosting the NAR annual National Sport Launch at Lucerne Dry
Lake.  Since this event takes the place of our regular June ROC-Stock, most of
you already have this event on your calendars and are planning to attend.
However we would like to point out some special things about this launch that
require your attention now.
Unlike a regular ROC-Stock, this national event involves a banquet for
participants and attendees, as well as a variety of commemorative items such as
hats and shirts.  Although paid ROC members can fly for free just as at any
ROC-Stock, pre-registration is required to purchase banquet tickets and
commemorative items.  We have not had many registrations yet, which raises
concerns about our ability to plan properly.  So if you're planning on coming
to NSL (or know someone who is) please visit the NSL registration site NOW:
http://www.nsl2011.org/
Note that you can access registration and items for purchase from the drop-down
menu under "Catalog & Registration".  We're hoping for a big response so we can
offer a great event as a follow-up to last year's highly successful LDRS, so
spread the word!
And while you're marking your calendar, please reserve Saturday, May 21 for our
ROC Trailer Cleaning Party!  We'll need a lot of help to get all our equipment
shipshape for NSL, so this is a great and fun opportunity to give back to the
club.  Stay tuned for further announcements regarding this tentative date.
One last thing... if you are a vendor interested in participating in NSL, we
want you!  Please see the vendor registration link on the NSL website.See you
all out at Lucerne!
