If you haven't had enough rocketry or if you want to come to an event where you don't have to host the event I am forwarding my post for October Skies. www.tccrockets.com Jack G From: tccrockets-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:tccrockets-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jack Garibaldi Sent: Monday, October 15, 2012 6:50 PM To: TCC -Chat Subject: [tccrockets] October Skies Hi All October Skies is this weekend Friday, Saturday and Sunday October 19th, 20th and 21st. The waiver will be 9:00am to 6:00pm every day except Saturday it will be from 9:00am to 10:00pm for a night launch. We have a standing 17,000ft MSL ceiling or a 16,810 AGL. We will have a dinner break before the night launch. The weather is looking good for all three days from 80-85 - high's and 50-60 lows so bring appropriate water and shade during the day and jackets if needed at night. There are no in ground or above ground fires on the Maddox property. We will have a food vendor for Saturday and Sunday, our usual Do-Right-BBQ had to cancel do to personal reasons so we have employed the Boy Scout Troop from the Los Angeles area. There will be Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on Saturday and Breakfast and lunch on Sunday. They will have a pancake breakfast which includes bacon and sausage and/or breakfast burrito's with eggs, bacon and sausage plus juices. Lunch will be hamburgers and hot dogs with chips and soda/water and dinner will be Tri-Tip and ranch beans. The prices are whatever they charge, I didn't even asked and was just happy to have them step up and serve food for us so please support our food vendors and do not show up selling any food or you will be asked to leave or shut your program down. The launch site will be on the Davis Road site. Steve Maddox was leveling/flattening the entire field and if he had time he was also going to flatten the field South of the one we fly in so the ground should be nice. Porta Potties will be onsite throughout the event. We will need all the help we can on set up, executing and tear down of the launch so please help out if there are dead spots in the range duties then we will just shut down and wait until we can get volunteers. I think I saw where Mike or someone was bringing the equipment trailer out right? Also do we have it scheduled to go back home after the launch? We need to get the batteries charged and it takes two days because our special charging cord can do 4 at a time so are we covered on this? The field will be dirt so we will not have to worry about Sparky motors and weed eaters this year. I filled the gas can up last launch so we should be fine there. Flight cards, does anyone remember if we have a good pile of them? If not I can start printing some. Ok I am sure I am forgetting something but let's be safe and have a good event.
