This was covered on our IPhone list.  You don't have too jail break anything 
to use GPS on a touch.  Only pair with the Bluetooth GPS receiver made for 
this and download one of the GPS apps like Tom Tom or Navigan or the free 
one, Map Quest4.  If anyone has contradictory information please post it 
here.

I don't know. I'm wary of trying because it can be risky if you don't know
what you're doing. You'd still need a gps receiver I think.
