I'm wondering why a script could not be written for JFW to perform
similarly?

Can the information from the bar code scanner be read with the Jaws cursor?

Who is saying that a script for the bar code scanner could not be written
for Jaws?

No, unfortunately not. JAWS doesn't have anything comparable,
unfortunately.

cool. to just run the thing and go. smile and two hundred and seventy
  dollars sounds like a bargain.
