Subject: [real-eyes] communist plot?

Okay what is the deal with the data plans being forced on us customers by
the wireless telephone companies? I currently have a really great data card
that I use with my laptop. So now we have it established that I am not
trying to get out of paying for a data plan. I pay $59. per month for an
unlimited plan. I have also had for two years now a sweet little phone that
I love. Secretly I vouhed to never give it up. It wasn't to be though, I
recently broke it and had to have it replaced by the insurance company.
Because I have to have windows mobile to run mobile speaks that I currently
hate, because they don't have any tech support. But that is a whole other
story. To make a longer story shorter, They are not making my wonderful
little phone any more, and so the gave me a really cool ozone phone, which
is really cool too. Any way, because I got this new phone after October, I
have to have a data plan on the windows mobile phone. I explained that I
already have a data
plan that I wish to stay with. They say that I have to have a data plan.
They say that I can use my phone for a modem for the same amount of money
that I already pay. If I keep the data card I will have to pay for the
additional cost of the data plan whether I want it or not. My current phone
plan doesn't run out until June 2010. My data car and Mikes plans are over
and I could stop those plans now. Oh dear Abby, what should I do about
this. Should I keep both data plans? Should I get rid of the data card and
use my phone for a modem? Are there any other blind people that thing we
should challenge the phone companies to be exempt from this to run assistive
technology? I hear that A T and T has such a thing? It anyone can make
since of what I have explained, please tell me your thoughts on this matter.
thanks in advance for your two cents.
Regards,
Andrea M. Breier
