In addition to google, sometimes I just call the public library in my town. Not too well known is that it is part of a ref librarian or even standard librarian job description to look up info for a caller or to suggest a search term or string. Sometimes I am just not in the mood to ferret info out, and these folks can be surprisingly helpful. For example, I know I could have gone and found out who played Zelda on the old "adventures of Dobie Gillis" television show one day when I became obsessed with this fact, but it was just easier that day to have the librarian look it up. You can even try my San Diego library, since most of us have long distance packages that make this affordable, even from Kansas City. (619) 236-5813.
