Have you tried scanning a job with multiple pages using the scan button on
the All-in-one, rather than in Open Book? Doing this might help narrow down
the source of the problem. If it will scan only the pages using the button,
then the problem is likely to be the printer/scanner driver and how it
interacts with OB. The other possibility is that the sensor that lets the
computer know the feeder tray is empty may be the culprit, if it continues
to scan when the tray is empty.

Hope this helps.
