Hi Scott, Outlook Express is great for GMail. In the account properties on the servers tab, make sure my server requires authentication is checked. On the advanced tab make sure ssl is checked for incoming and outgoing. Make sure outgoing port is 465 and incoming is 995. Hope this helps. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Scott Dollar" <dollar31@xxxxxxx> To: <real-eyes@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, June 16, 2011 2:05 PM Subject: [real-eyes] Outlook Express Hi Everyone, I am currently using the Outlook Express on my Windows XP on my Dell laptop. I do also have Gmail for myself. With the Outlook Express with my GMail that I noticed on my Outlook Express is acting weird behavor with my GMail. It will not let me to send outgoing mail at all on the Outlook Express. Do I need to change the outgoing port number? Is there a problem with between Outlook Express and Gmail? Do I need to change my email program for GMail? If yes, which email program would you recommend for me to use with the Gmail. I did check on my GMail on the webmail that everything is fine from there. That is why I need to make sure that I need to change the email program. I have tried to get the program fix but I can't get the problem resolve on my Outlook Express.
