Reg, The files played beautifully on the computer. The Maestro is supposed to = be able to play .mp3 files. Now what? It's the card, not the reader. Now = one=20 thing to try is place the card in the reader and try to play the files = from=20 the card on your computer. If they play then the media player software = on=20 the Maestro doesn't support the bit rate or file type without extra = codecs=20 or something. If they don't play then the files didn't transfer = properly=20 and the card will have to be reformatted. Hope that helps. ----- Original Message -----=20 From: "Kimberly A. Wow is that ever = =3D great news! Now--I just purchased this card reader. Is it the card =3D reader (the thing you plug into the USB port), having the problem, or is = =3D it the little card itself? Hopefully, best case scenario, it's the card. = =3D Kimberly -----Original Message----- From: real-eyes-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:real-eyes-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Reginald George Sent: Thursday, October 05, 2006 11:35 AM To: real-eyes@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [real-eyes] Re: Maestro PDA question Hi Kimberly, Bad news. Your card is temporarily corrupted. Probably there is =3D nothing=3D20 physically wrong with it. You can try running check disk on it from =3D your=3D20 computer but, that probably won't fix the files. You will probably have = =3D to=3D20 reformat the card and recopy the files. Recently I bought an 8GB = flash=3D20 drive and, I have continued to have problems with it no matter what I = =3D do.=3D20 Turns out the drive itself was corrupted. Usually just a format and =3D reload=3D20 will solve the issue. Even though the files look like they are the =3D right=3D20 size they fill up with zeros. I can imagine how the folks with = digital=3D20 cameras feel when their pictures won't open. ----- Original Message -----=3D20 From: "Kimberly A. I'm =3D having a=3D20 challenge with regard to the media player. Perhaps someone will have = a=3D20 solution I can try. I bought a card reader and last night I loaded up = =3D some=3D20 Mp3 files, which the media player in my Pda is supposed to accept. The = =3D files=3D20 play successfully on the computer, so I know they're working correctly. = =3D But=3D20 when I click "enter" on any of the Mp3 files I loaded into the storage = =3D card=3D20 on the Pda, none of them play. They all list out; they just don't play. = =3D I=3D20 went into file properties, and it gives the correct number of megs for = =3D each=3D20 Mp3 file, but then it says "duration, 0 seconds". I know there's =3D something=3D20 really simple I'm just not thinking of that will get this thing working. = =3D Any=3D20 thoughts would be very much appreciated. I know there's something really = =3D simple I'm just not thinking to try.
