But when we plug it in it gives us a windows screen that asks what we want to do. Do we need to press enter on anything in that window, or do we alt F4 out of it? When we alt F4 we wind up on the desktop with nothing open. On Reg's demo, it immediately installed drivers, but we aren't getting anything like that. Sometimes, it may take 5 to 10 minutes for the magic jack to install its software, so please plug in the jack, be patient and stand by. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Karen Shrawder" <kshrawder@xxxxxxx> To: <real-eyes@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, July 06, 2009 11:58 PM Subject: [real-eyes] Re: Internet Phone Services Hi! We just bought the Magic Jack, but we can't get it to work. When we put it into the usb port, it brings up a window that asks what type of action we wish to perform, including a lot of stuff having to do with photos and other programs, and the list has nothing to do with Magic Jack. When we cancel out, it takes us directly to the desktop and does nothing else. This was supposed to be simple! I want to explore some internet phone services. I don't mean talking with a microphone on your computer. I mean something like Magic Jacks (I don't know how to spell it) or something similar. We are thinking of using such a service, which I hear is only about $30 per year. Does anyone have any information on this or ideas of where I should look? Thanks in advance.
