Subject: The new Book Courier.
Just saw a note that Springer will be releasing a new BookCourier around
the end of Q1 2008.
Quick facts:
Support for the following file types:
ogg vorbis,
wma,
wav,
pcm
ima-adcpm,
NLS digital books after first update.
Support for SD cards as well as CF. 4 GB cards at first, then 8GB after
first update.
Support for USB 2.0
External microphone jack,
Ability to speed up audio playback as well as text playback,
Character navigation in text mode.
No word on price other than it should cost less than comparable devices
and that current BC owners will get a "substantial discount".
