[real-eyes] Re: Checking into accessibility of a Sony digital recorder for a blind friend

I knew that it didn't speak because none of the Sony's do. A lot of the
Olympus recorders don't speak, but they are still nominally accessible with
beeps and dedicated folder and function buttons and so on. I don't think
the Sony's are as easy to use, but that doesn't mean it's totally
inaccessible. . Accessibility for an individual user has a lot more to do
with how much time they are willing to invest in navigating through screens
of information, making notes on the steps to access different menus, and so
on. One person's access is another person's nightmare. It's about how bad
you want it.

The model of the Sony recorder that your friend has will not speak any of
the menus for accessibility. Now i had to call five times to Tech Support in
order to get an answer to this question.
