Good morning! I spoke with George G. yesterday on the small layout Z-4000. It
is repaired. To paraphrase what he said – it looked like a repair was
attempted on a reset feature of the transformer, thus creating the problem.
The bottom line is the repair charge is $45.00 and I'll make sure I get a
receipt. I'll work with getting the transformer from him (to save shipping
charges) and back to its RC3R "home".
Have a great day!

Good morning! I have a related item and an indirectly related item:
Tom, I may have a line on an Olde Virginia beer reefer car if you're still
interested. This was one of the "Virginia Railroads" car series done by the
Virginia Train Collectors. Exact price not known yet, but may be in the
neighborhood of $75.00 (pre-haggling price). Just let me know.
Small Layout Z-4000: I went to the VTC's Suffolk train show this past Sunday
and handed the transformer over to George Galyo, who is the MTH Authorized
repair tech used by Tiny Tim's. He will let me know what he finds out about it
and I'll keep y'all updated.
Have a great day!

Three days to go, guys. I'm retired as-of this coming Wednesday.
I had lunch Friday at Legends with an old friend. We started working together
in Matthews NC back in 1983. We've been running parallel course ever since. Joe
is friends with the owner of Legends brewery. There is a very high probability
that I will be doing PLC programming for them this year. While touring the
Brewery, I approached him about obtaining exclusive rights for RC3R to have use
of his trademarks for the purpose of O Scale Reefer cars. He has agreed. The
next step will be to draw up an agreement. This is an item I would like to
discuss in the next meeting. They have some really great graphics. Were we to
produce RC3R club cars, I'm confident that these will be quick sell-outs.

The gentleman who is taking over my position at PMUSA has given me one of those
flat-phone things. My old # (804-677-8294) has been reactivated. I likely will
not be carrying it regularly until Thursday. The folks @ work has grown
accustomed to my not having a cell phone, and I'd like to keep it that way.
