In looking at the pins I did notice one pin was a bit larger than the
others so the plug can only be pushed on correctly. Chances are someone
used a bit too much force to push in the plug when the pins were
misaligned. It's always wise not to try to force things together that don't
want to go. That works for people as well as mechanical and electrical
devices.

Found the problem.
The female socket on the connector was pushed back some. That meant only
part of the male pin was making contact with the socket. Not having a real
good electrical contact point generates heat. That heat causes corrosion
and pitting, making the connection even more electrically weaker and
weaker.  You can see the pitting and oxidation on one of the bottom male
pins if you zoom in.

We were able to push that socket back into position. Right now it is
staying in the correct position. I clean the female socket, burnished the
male pin to try to remove the corrosion, and then chemically cleaned all of
that with a contact cleaner.

Once a pin is corroded like that it can never return to perfect. We will
plan to replace both connectors during the off-season. I anticipate it will
work fine for the rest of the greenhouse season. If it does not, let me
know.

Ken and Peter M also went around the entire layout and tightened every
terminal strip wire. Thank you to Ken, Peter M, and Tom for helping today.

I got a call about 2PM that there was boo power on the inside loop. I
went and played with the plug. It was OK if I held it high. Business card
fix would no longer work......but the stiffer cardboard of the Duracell
batteries seems to work.
Hopefully, it will hold through the day. I guess we may need to move the
control center to the other corner?
