The RF&PMRR, Inc. Board of Directors met in virtual session on Wednesday, July
1, 2020 to discuss the way ahead for the organization as Phase III of reopening
Virginia takes effect in accordance with Gov. Northam’s Executive Order 67.The
Board reviewed the requirements of E.O. 67 regarding Entertainment and
Amusement Businesses. The Board concluded that:
- SIGs will remain closed to public until after August 1. We will continue
as we are for now but will review position before August 1.
- SIGs are pretty much already complying with Governor’s Executive Order 67
requirements, except we’re continuing to be open members only.
- SIGS should all adhere to same guidelines.
- SIG signage indicates masks are required; however, no one will be excluded
or ejected for not wearing a mask. Anyone has the right to leave if they feel
threatened by folks without masks.
- SIGs will develop plans to host public when Board decides allow such.
Plans should include signage, face coverings, sanitation, crowd flow,
distancing, etc. Board decided that there wasn’t a need for an over-arching
RF&PMRR governance committee since SIGs were working on this, and, in
actuality, the Board is the “committee.”
- RF&PMRR does have limited liability insurance coverage.
- Discussed SMV show and if they’ll have one. We don’t know but we need to
develop a plan b in case they don’t have a show this year. Plan B might very
well be staging our own RF&PMRR show, maybe at Westchester Commons. Bill
Dessent is continuing to coordinate with SMV, but doesn’t expect any new
information for some time.
This is a brief summary of the lengthy discussions the Board had during this
meeting. If I’ve missed anything important, please “reply to all” with your

wants to read them.The Board agreed to meet again, by conference call, on
Wednesday, July 29 at 3 p.m. Steve will arrange conference call and send out
meeting notification.
