Hi Chris,
I'm an accessibility consultant, ensuring mostly iOS accessibility, helping
developers and testers. Sometimes I do Android, and recently I started playing
with Windows Mobile and the Kindle Fire. The more limitations I find, the more
I feel I need something I can change to my heart's content.

Hey Tom,
Good to hear from you mate. Welcome to the list!
The Pi is an excellent bit of kit, and I think you'll have a lot of fun
with it.
What sort of stuff do you do with mobile computing if you don't mind me
asking?
I myself am something of a MOO enthusiast, so my Pi, when it's on gets
used primarily for benchmarking my game server against a fully-fledged
Intel Xeon VPS running Debian.
Hope you get as much out of the Pi community as we all do.
Take care,
Chris

Hello Listers,
My name is Tom Babinszki, I'm writing to introduce myself.
I've been thinking about the Pi for months now, and Monday seemed like a
good time to get started by ordering Pi 3.
For the last few days I'm reading the discussion and browsing the archives.
I have to admit, it doesn't totally make sense yet, probably it will be
easier when I will have the actual device at hand. I'm not a Linux expert,
aside from a few tries with Ubuntu I haven't done much with it, but I hope
it is the time to change my habits. I'm primarily interested in Linux
because of the command line.
My reason to get the Pi was that by profession I am a mobile accessibility
expert, and I wanted to look much more into mobile computing and not be
stuck with iOS or Android. Ok, I know, the two are not the same, but since
I see the Pi's application in mobile or even wearable, I wanted to know
more. The other reason is, well, because I'm interested in getting my hands
on anything that's technology and I haven't played with yet.
I'm looking forward to learning from you.
Tom
