Yeah. I just found two that I had not seen again maybe its better I try this
other type so we have some to compare. I might buy two there is one for $115
and one for $59.

As far as I could tell it just came with one tip. I say as far as I could tell,
because when I opened the package the tip fell out and after some shouting and
swearing about RS Components being shysters, I stepped on the only tip. There
might be another one lurking on the floor somewhere.
Of course you can buy replacements.
RS Components is not really a consumer site, more selling to trade.
Hence the habits of doing stuff like selling a rechargeable soldering iron
without the charger.
I would not buy from RS very often.
Trade customers are more likely to bitch if they try to buy a replacement iron
for which they already have a perfectly adequate charger.
They are good for other very hard to find elsewhere things, such as 1mm wander
plugs and sockets. But for more typical hobby electronics stuff, you are better
sticking to Amazon, Ebay or Adafruit, and digikey.

Today I got an RS own brand battery soldering iron.
It is billed on uk.rs-online.com as a 15 Watt iron.
It has a body which is about an inch square. It is light enough to hold like
a pen, and the button to apply power to the tip is light enough in touch that
you won't get finger ache after hours of use.
It was a VERY expensive iron, so not everybody will be able to afford it. But
after doing a lot of research online I came to the conclusion that this was
the iron with the fastest heating tip. And I really wanted to be able to get
back to soldering stuff into vero.
I have today soldered a 555 timer into some veroboard, and directly wired all
eight pins of a DPDT relay by winding some hook-up wire around each leg and
then soldering.
The joints feel every bit as good as those I would have made when I could see.
The tip heats so quickly I can guide it to where I want the joint while it is
cold, with a finger tip, take up the solder and then press the solder to the
other side of the joint and then press the button.
It remains to be seen how long a charge lasts. And how long a tip lasts.
I would not use this iron to solder stuff like PL259 coaxial plugs, not big
and powerful enough. For that I have a Weller gun.

weeks and then they die. That or you have to keep replacing the tips
because they quickly burn out. I have yet to find one any better

I am not up to date on irons. However you'll find in the tech file
the "vinther fingertip iron or something like that. This uses a tip
intended for a battery iron to be used in tight spaces. The
controller for this gizmo monitors the resistance of the tip as it
heats and limits the tip current so as to approximately control temperature.
The tip is on a lightweight piece of zip cord and is controlled with
a footswitch.
Whether one could find this tip these days is of some doubt but the
ideas may inspire some research. I personally advise use of a fine
tipped temperature controlled iron as Bill Gerrey reccommends. Using
a light weight temp controlled iron with a handy sturdy stand to bung
it into between joints is, with practice, a manageable method. I have
never seen a light weight instant hot iron except the Vinther as
above. Lots of current pumped in fast means big wires.
Or so run my beliefs from years back.
