Did you accidentally change the file extension?
That should not get changed when you alter the name.

I don't tab though, I use the applications key, or shift F10 if you don't
have an applications key, and up arrow or down arrow to "extract all".
That has always worked for me.

Well I got the foxen 3.3 Still no luck on unzipping the darn thing. I tab
to extrac and it just says this archive is not supported.
Wonder if I need to find a unzipping program.

Well I thought that some of the Voxin voices could be installed on ARM, just
not the IBM Via Voice, which sounds like Eloquence.
I'm not fond of the human sounding voices, so I haven't really investigated
them for ARM.

Hi Matthew,
If you have access to the GUI, here's how I do it with Voxin, in general
Linux, not RPI because the IBM voice does not run on ARM processors.
But I copy my file into my downloads folder and go there in the GUI and use
the applications key and enter on "extract here".
Then you will have a folder with the extracted files.
When I install Voxin, I go back to the terminal in downloads, and type cd
voxin-3.10 or whatever the folder is that was just created.
Then when in that folder, I type
cd voxin-enu-3.10
or again, the name of the folder like that you have available.
Note, the ls command will list what is in the folder you are in.
Then once in the -enu- folder, type:
bash voxin-installer.sh
and put sudo in front in front of any of those commands if you aren't root.

Hmmm.
I got the file on a usb stick, and even rename it to myfile just to make it
easy. No luck says this file is not supported
When I click on it on the gui that what it gives me.
Are there any other voices out there even paid ones that are easy to
install. I never could even get festival to work, try diffent sites to see
about getting it to work, most of the time it would kill my speech and I had
to reinstall everything to get back going.

I am not sure if your package will work but you can unpack a tgz file fine.
If you have everything installed. If you can run tar and gzip you can
unpack it. If you can't then install them. The command is

Hello.
I am a new raspberry pie owner. I bought the Raspberry Pie 400, I SSH into
it and got everything running. Speech works fine through the HDMI and I can
switch it to a USB if need be.
My problem is, I want a better voice and I can't get anywhere on finding a
voice to use for orca. I got the ETI package, but for some reason I can't
unpack a TGZ file on ras.
Anybody had any luck on getting a better voice for Orca by chance and if so,
can you give a run down on what to get and need to run in terminal to get it
up and going.
