Sounds like a lot Rill.
In 2014 I hope we can:
1. Fix the latency issues which cause tts to stutter and cause a kernel
oops. Hopefully in both Arch Linux and other distros too.
This might be either by getting espeak to work with pulse audio, or by
using some other method. Possibly even by writing a new connector which
will connect SpeakUp to espeak and a new sound server for Emacspeak.
If I can get this to work I will then again start work on getting some
kind of lightweight graphical desktop working on the Pi.
