Was pretty sure hadn't, but, just double-checked which socket it is,
hooked everything up again, and redid the process, and, it worked this
time - took a little time for ubuntu mate to come up and tell me
screenreader on, but, worked fine from thereon.
So, I think you must be right, and while thought had tried both sockets
last time, maybe I was confusing myself with all the wires etc. lying
around...<smile>
Next question - if I then tell the GUI to shutdown, and switch back to
3.5mm audio jack, the debugging process is still running, so will it be
alright to just disconnect the power, or is there a better way to
actually shut down the unit?
As in, should I maybe bring up the mate terminal and type in something
like sudo shutdown now?
