My only experience with the Pi is with the older models that cap at
1GB and running text-only setups on them, but even on my desktop with
an older Intel i7(vintage around 2011), I'm starting to feel the
limits of 4GB ram running Firefox and Orca on top of a stripped down
x-server using Fast, Light window Manager, especially on web pages
that make heavy use of JavaScript and the like.
If you can afford it, I can think of no reason not to get at least a
4GB ram Pi 4, and the only reason I can think of for the not getting
the 8GB is that I think you need 64-bit to address all of it and I
don't think ARM64 is as well supported as x86-64 quite yet... though
someone please correct me if that's changed in recent months.
