Hello Guys, I was very sad to hear that a friend of mine from down under past away. I met this gentleman back in 1988, at Barooga, for the first ever World boomerang cup. It was also my first trip in Australia with the french team at this time with Olivier Vouktchévith and Raphaël Jamgotchian. Brother Brian was very curious about those youngs men coming down from Europe and it was interviewing me to know more about the boomerang phenomenom that was growing up in this part of the world. It was always very positive and fairplay. Always ready to teach someone how to use a boomerang. Even if he wasn't an athlete, He always wanted participate in any competition to enjoy the filling of throwing with differents people. One of my last funny memories of him, was in 2000. Chantal and myself were in Brother Brian's car, driving back to Sydney after we spent an afternoon visiting several legends of the boomerang in Australia. He took us to the blue Mountain and on the road, a police car started to flash behind us. We were talking as usual and have a good time, but we had to stop and the policeman gave a speed ticket to our brother Brian. We were not filling very comfortable, but anyway, he didn't say a word, just a little smile. We had the chance after that to visit his bedroom, decorate with boomerangs of course from everywhere in the world. Here an idea, that we could start to name a trophe ( for the most consistant thrower or something else) by the name of Brother Brian Thomas for the next World cup. There is not yet a hall of fame for the boomerang world, but why not ?. From Chantal and myself, we would like to give our sympathies to his community in Australia and accept our deepest concolences. Catch you later mate ! Stéphane Marguerite and Chantal Plamondon
