Hi All
As a provisional date we agreed we would look at Sat 4th July 2020 (I think
Chris was a little worse for wear at this point so has probably forgotten), as
we factored in that some of you still have kids who are in full time education
and therefore have a limited window to fit in summer holidays.
Hopefully this is suitable for all/most and if so we can firm it up and you can
all put it in your diaries.

the date is 2nd weekend of school holidays and I realise does not affect all

OK chaps that was a fun evening - but lowest turn-out ever I think.
So:
1) do we carry on with the “last Saturday in July” fixed approach - but back it
up with some reminders
2) go back to a voting scheme
3) move to later in the year when we a less likely to clash with other
activities.
Or something else etc.

Verdict on the Village Hotel : stupid coffee machine in the room instead of
kettle (which would not dispense hot water so I couldn’t eat my pot noodle
breakfast - hmmm curry for breakfast - avoiding extortionate hotel breakfast
fees), nice shower, bar full of yobs. Will fork out for the Aviator next next
- or maybe the save money and go for the Falcon.
Had a slightly emotional walk around the old site, various buildings still
standing; fire station black shed, Q134 - albeit renovated, the telephone
exchange (now a child care centre) one of the old wind tunnels, and a little
bit of Q120 - the old water tank test facility / UMA.
