Verdict on the Village Hotel : stupid coffee machine in the room instead of
kettle (which would not dispense hot water so I couldn’t eat my pot noodle
breakfast - hmmm curry for breakfast - avoiding extortionate hotel breakfast
fees), nice shower, bar full of yobs. Will fork out for the Aviator next
next - or maybe the save money and go for the Falcon.
Had a slightly emotional walk around the old site, various buildings still
standing; fire station black shed, Q134 - albeit renovated, the telephone
exchange (now a child care centre) one of the old wind tunnels, and a little
bit of Q120 - the old water tank test facility / UMA.
