One Jovian rotation later: more hectometric non-Io-B arcs on 101025, with a
comment on their origin

Hello Radio Astronomers,

I attach an annotated STEREO WAVES spectrum showing the activity in the 1
to 3 MHz band.

See the 101024 spectrum at:
//www.freelists.org/archives/radioastro/10-2010/jpgxUrSEaQaD0.jpg

What is the origin of these hectometric events ?

Galopeau and Boudjada 2005 "Solar wind control of Jovian auroral emissions"
:
http://adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2005JGRA..11009221G
propose that "Solar particles go through the polar regions where they
interact with the Jovian magnetic field and give rise in the auroral and
equatorial regions to an increase of Jovian hectometric emissions and/or
injection events."

I have read the abstract, but I need to get the full paper and study it in
detail.

Best regards,

Victor Herrero
