I was printed an AGFA APX 25 6x6 negative last week, and I realized what a
unique film it was. I have not had an opportunity to try all the fine grain
films to find a replacement. Do you have any thoughts?

No,

AFAIK the story is as follows: MACO is planning on a new run of MACO IR
film, this time not made in Croatia by EFKE (it seems there were some
buisness disagreements, EFKE is now putting out the previous MACO IR
film under it's own brand, against an agreement with MACO, it seems).
For the EFKE IR film: check out the freestyle web site.

Anyway they have produced a test run at the former Geveart factory in
Belgium, based on the old AGFA APX 100 emulsion.

I am testing this prototype right now, but Maco has asked to share
results with them first. But I guess MACO wouldn't mind that I can tell
that the first results are promesing.

MACO also markets a IR film "made" by Rollei, Rollei IR, which is more
of an extended red film and requires heavy red filtering to obtain IR
effects, I do not know were it is produced.

Best,

Cor
