Jim and Backy Lynn.
I agree with all Jim said (especially about Becky Lynn's talent!). You can't
get your scanned negatives to look like your analog prints. But you can print
your scanned negatives and, though they don't look like your analog prints,
they can be nice in a different way.
And I don't think a monitor can physically ever give the depth and/or luster
of either kind of print. Just not enough information presented.

  Bob
P.S. - Becky Lynn, just as there are dark room processes to create your
vision from your negatives, there are digital processes for scanned negatives
that can mimic them as well as a few new tricks. Like the dark room, there is a
steep learning curve.

  Becky Lynn,

You cannot expect your scanned negatives to look like your prints.
You are looking at your scans on a computer screen and your prints,
well, on paper. Never the twain shall meet! Scan your film, don't
photograph your prints.

So you folks out there, look at Becky Lynn's scanned negative Holga
photos that she posted and stop and think... if you were in that room
with a Holga, would you have even thought of taking those pictures?
And if you did, would they have looked like anything close to what
Becky Lynn has produced? In my case, the answers are no and no!

I'm really jealous of your talent Becky Lynn!!!
