It is not difficult, IF you're willing to accept some increase in weight.
If you look at the Sinar studio cameras, they have both extensive
movements on both the front- and back standards, as well as very
precise adjustment and locking ... but all that hardware weighs a bunch.
The only thing the SG is missing for practical outdoor shooting was front
tilt. I solved that on my 4x5 by reversing the front standard so that
back tilt became front tilt. I haven't done it to my much newer
2x3 SG because the front standard hardware is secured a lot better
and I'm loathe to try and force it all apart to do the reversal.
