Yeah, it's 80% of the way to 4x5 but way more portable.
But, as always, pictures like this have to be done on a tripod.
I will say that, whenever I shoot with this camera, I feel lost
without a front tilt to make the plane of focus sit where I
want it to.
I do also own Speed Graphics in both 2x3 and 4x5, and the 2x3
comes close to being the perfect camera that does it all,
at least with sheet film.
I love the GW 690 for what it is, though. My only grump is
that mine - which looked like new and was literally in the
box when I got it - has uneven interframe spacing. Nothing
that prevents its use, it's just irritating ...
