DEAR LIST,
I live in Barbados but buy most things from the US. I am hoping someone
can recommend a good repair person who can CLA my old Rolleiflex. I don't make
any money with it. It is a memento that I got from the late Euchard
Fitzpatrick, a Barbadian photographer whose lovely photos from between 1934 and
1977 (when his eyes went soft) I curated and printed for the Barbados National
Trust. Even though it is quite old (originally owned by Mr. Cunard, the
shipping magnate) I still have made some very nice photos with it including
some of the images on my website of Florence and Tuscany. The controls that
adjust the F# and shutter speed are stuck so it will definitely need cleaning
and lubrication.
Please advise contact info of someone with whom you have experience who
can do decent work at reasonable prices.
