Bogdan,
I used a Beattie fresnel on my 8x10 Deardorff. It make looking at the
"whole picture" remarkable. I could often set up the image without using
the darkcloth at all unless the sun was shining directly on the GG. So,
that was good. Not so good was trying to do critical focusing especially
toward the edges. It was difficult at times to even make out what I was
seeing in the loupe. I've since acquired an Ebony and use the Ebony GG. It
works very well. We have discovered that there are different qualities and
brightness of GG; you may want to try some other brands.
