DEAR JONATHAN,
Sandy just replied and said EI 100 was correct. This was just
confirmed by the post from J. Howe (aka HTH).
                CHEERS!

Bob, Sounds about right, did he recommend an I.E. index?
I look forward to read about your results.
Jonathan

DEAR JONATHAN,
Thanks for your reply. I received a similar Formulary instruction
sheet (mine is water based) when I bought the Pyrocat but didn't notice any
info on T-max 100 and no reference at all to 35mm.
I will be tank processing and received the following info directly
from Sandy just a few hours ago.
He recommended following at 72 F and 1:1:100 dilution.
For graded paper; 12-15 mins, for VC add 25%.
"Minimal" Agitation: Continuous first minute than 10 secs at 1/4,
1/2, and 3/4 of development time.
I will give these a try.
                CHEERS!
                        BOB

Bob I found the directions, from photo formulary by Sandy King, a good
starting point.
http://www.photoformulary.com/uploads/Pyrocat-HD-01-5091.pdf

I have used Pyrocat-MC, and lately I am using EXactolux. I process with a
Jobo rotary processor, and I use BTZS protocols for testing.
I like both of these developers; they are tanning high acutance developers.
In my opinion the grain is sharp with smooth high lights and very good mid
range gradation. Exactolux provides me with outstanding sharpness and detail
that I have been unable to achieve with Sodium Sulfide-Metol developers
(D-23). I have been very careful of my exposure calculations and development
lately because I am shooting seascapes in bright sunlight with very bright
surf and wet very dark rocks. Determining subject brightness ratio (SBR) and
selecting I.E. and development time for the specific SBR has made my job a
lot easier. I establish my exposure off the dark rocks and adjust the
development to the SBR to control the high lights.

It was both 35mm and 120 T-Max 100. Have to go out now but I'll look up
the details and post tonight.
