IRTI told me yesterday that a firmware update will be
available after the first of the year to permit reading NLS talking
books. No specific date was given me.
I wish the Pocket had more editing functions, but overall, I hear good
things about the unit.

As for the questions on listening to music I will have more of a chance
to make side by side comparisens this weekend. I also need to do more
with external microphone and line in recording. Certainly my initial
experience listening to music has been posative but I was not comparing
it with other sources. Usually I do not see a big difference between
players -- the limiting factor seems to be the headphones.
