                        Hello there

hopefully someone on this list can give me an answer to my question.

a few days ago, I had to back up a large number of audio cds (cdr's), to my
ptr2 in order to use the resulting wav-files in another location on a pc at a
later stage.

the backup process itself whent absolutely smoothly, and I filled up my 8 GB
flash-card with about 10 CD's in pcm-44.1KHZ stereo.

when I got home to my pc, I transfered the content of the card to my pc. Again,
no problem, the files transfered just fine. I then want to pull out the
wav-files from the daisy-structure, as this is really not a daisy book, but
just tracks from gegular cds I'd like to yous as regular wav-sound-files.

well, I can coppy the files to any location I desire, however I am unable to
play any of them on any of my pc-based players! none of them will open the
files, I just get a strange mesage saying that perhaps I need another codec to
play this content. I find this very strange, as this is just regular wav-files,
and I should be able to play them as regular files, also, right??

Does anyone on here have an idea what could be wrong and how I can saulve the
matter?

all the best from allan
