The problem is in the read-back from the radio interface. Just comment them out,
there is no real problem if the rig is scanning ok.
Rigctl seems to have more problems reading tha writing.
Sometimes it helps if you run an instance of rigctl in a terminal and leave it 
open...

Looks like I have to use the perl interface to hamlib instead of rigctl.
