A common problem is that on some laptops fldigi produces no audio output. Following quote from the fldigi list uses the alsamixer program to solve the problem: quote################################################ The audio driver offers two groups of controls, Capture (Rx) and Playback (Tx). To set Tx audio level, the Playback headphone control had to be un-muted. Otherwise I started with all controls minimuzed. To set Tx audio level with TUNE, I only had to increase the PCM control to the point that the PTT LED on the SignaLink turned on, and then an additional 50% for stability, which brought me 74% level. For Rx I turned to the Playback group, which were all minimized initially. I only had to raise the Capture L/R control to about 70% to get a useful waterfall. I increased it to 80% and set the waterfall audio bandwidth in fldigi to 0-79. unquote############################################## Hope this helps some of you.. 73, Rein PA0R -- http://pa0r.blogspirit.com
