Hi Terry,
I regularly use a single digit ssid on my client (usually WB5CON-3) with no problem. However, I have not tried it since upgrading the server to version 0.7.7. I currently have no client set up. I have not ever tried a two digit ssid.

Thanks, Rein. I noticed that the link wasn't working with -15 ssid, and 
switched to no ssid, aprs message receive started working; (on .9 beta puppy 
now)
