Hi Robert, when you connect to te server, this is what you should see in the monitor window: TX (2008-09-13 09:05Z): <US><SOH>00cPA0R:1024 PI4TUE:24 5F258<EOT> RX (2008-09-13 09:05Z): <US><SOH>0XkPI4TUE:24 PA0R:1024 55666<EOT> TX (2008-09-13 09:05Z): <US><SOH>0Xs 6B27<EOT> RX (2008-09-13 09:05Z): <US><SOH>0X!PI4TUE 0.7.16-IM54> RX (2008-09-13 09:05Z): RX (2008-09-13 09:05Z): RX (2008-09-13 09:05Z): A13C<SOH>0Xs! There can be various reasons why you cannot connect: * one of the processes is still hanging around when you start pskmail * more than 1 copies of fldigi are running * you have once started pskmail as root To be sure that you start clean, do a 'ps aux | grep psk' and look if there are any rogue processes hanging around e.g.: rein 6107 0.0 0.1 26268 6116 pts/1 S+ Sep12 0:02 /usr/bin/perl -w /usr/local/share/pskmail/psk_arq.pl if that is the case do a 'killall psk_arq.pl' before you start pskmail. Look at the ownership of .pskmail: 'cd .pskmail' 'ls -al ' If you see any files with owner root you should change ownership to user. To see if there are any error messages from pskmail, do a 'touch debug' in the .pskmail directory before you start it. You can ignore the GTK warnings at the beginning... Are you running the latest client (version 1.0)? If not, upgrade. just a few thoughts... 73, Rein PA0R > -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- > Von: "Robert Krasowski" <rkrasowski@xxxxxxxxx> > Gesendet: 13.09.08 03:21:07 > An: pskmail@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Betreff: [pskmail] Unable to connect > > Hello , > I got my server running, finally and I hope it is running ok, but now > I have difficulties with client software.
