The $scanner variable is set to "S". It does work usually (in fact it works too well sometimes - if I'm doing a connect on a slow mode, it will sometimes change back to PSK125 in the middle of the connect sequence..)

My slow-speed connection tests have been better, but if I do not disconnect properly the server goes weird. A couple of things happen. 1) The qrg/freqs.txt file is ignored (it's been 20 mins and the server hasn't changed mode to PSK125 which fills all 5 positions in this file). 2) The server stops beaconing.
