Is the argument here that "the landing of the next floor" means Lone Wolf
has gone up one floor at that point, so "at the top of the stairs" must
mean that Lone Wolf has gone up a second floor by the time he gets to the
top? It's a reasonable interpretation, but I personally think the text is
ambiguous enough that we should give the author the benefit of the doubt.
Maybe others on here feel differently though.
