I am running VWD Express 2008 on XP Professional and it's working. I think Visual Studio 2008 should run on your XP Professional but that is just a guess based on VWD running on mine.

Greetings all -- I have been on microsoft reading the system requirements for VS 2008 and Iam taken to a page that lists a bunch of supported configurations, includingXP Professional. I had the impression that VS 2005 was for XP and 2008 required vista. Am I wrong? I want to get whatever is current.
